Donations We Accept

We currently accept groceries & donations according to the following schedule.

Monday-Thursday; 9am-3pm

Our current drop off location is in New Hope. Please text to confirm: 612-422-3276.

Groceries We Accept

The following are  donations we can always accept. Besides canned tomatoes, we do not accept canned food.

  • Fruits & Vegetables
  • Hot peppers, onions, garlic, ginger, canned tomatoes, whole dried peppers
  • Basmati rice
  • Dry Dal/beans – urad, masoor, toor, chana, rajma, garbanzo beans, red kidney beans
  • Cereals
  • Flour: atta, white, wheat, masa
  • Salt, sugar (brown, white)
  • Pasta
  • Tamarind
  • Spices & Ingredients: Garam Masala, cumin, mirchi, low-sodium salt, black pepper, red pepper, mustard seeds, rye, cinnamon, cardamom, fennel seeds, fenugreek
  • Condiments: Achar (pickles), ketchup, hot sauce, salsa, tomato sauce
  • Honey
  • Instant coffee, black tea (no flavor)
  • Canola oil
  • Ritz crackers, Belvita protein crackers

Personal Care & Cleaning Products

The following are donations we can always accept.

  • Tooth brush/tooth paste
  • Shampoo/Conditioner (Full size bottles only)
  • Body Soap
  • Hand Soap
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Women’s Deodorant
  • Feminine Hygiene items (sanitary pads, pantyliners, menstrual cups)
  • Laundry detergent
  • Dish soap
  • Paper towels
  • Toilet Paper
  • Kleenex
  • Diapers (sizes 1-4)
  • Baby oil/baby powder
  • Baby shampoo
  • Baby food in jars, such as small Gerber jars
  • Baby formula

Household Items

We will accept many gently used items (unless indicated) if in working order and with all parts. All items must be clean.

  • Small kitchen appliances
  • Kitchen items (complete dinnerware or flatware sets, serving spoons, mixing bowls, bakeware)
  • New towel sets
  • Full size sheets & comforters (new or gently used, no rips/stains)
  • Pillowcases
  • Air mattresses (twin or full size)
  • Brooms and dustpans
  • Laundry baskets

Clothing Items

We will accept some gently used items (unless indicated). Any used items must be clean and free of rips, tears, holes, and stains.

  • New socks (men’s, women’s, children’s)
  • New undergarments (men’s, women’s, children’s)
  • Winter gear: coats, hats, gloves, mittens, scarves (we accept from September – December)
  • Culturally specific clothing (saris, lenghas, kurtas – must be full sets)

Electronics

We don’t typically accept electronics, but we are looking for new/gently used tablets that can help our seniors stay connected on Facebook, Zoom, etc.
