Violence & Abuse Program Coordinator

The Program Coordinator is responsible for the planning & daily implementation of programs to serve and enhance services for victims of abuse, assault & violence, in a manner that affirms their culture and effectively addresses language and communication barriers. They will coordinate new program development for one-to-one counseling, support groups, and youth educational curriculums. Provides leadership to the domestic violence prevention and direct services. The Coordinator will work directly with community leaders and community members to implement a community wide effort to influence and change values and mindsets, so that historical legacies of violence – which are understood to be “old” and unhealthy, are left behind and replaced with new norms that are not using violence as a tool of power. Create a community-wide environment in which individual safety and wellness and community wellness are nurtured and respected.

Administrative Assistant

The primary objective of this position is to provide program, administrative, and other needed support services to the Executive Director. The primary objective of this position is to providing prompt, courteous, and efficient service to visitors, guests, employees and telephone callers. This position will also provide program, administrative, and other support services to staff as needed. Responsibilities include reception, front desk support, clerical and other administrative duties and also serve as facilities coordinator and website updates as needed. To perform this job successfully, the incumbent must be able to carry out each essential duty satisfactorily.

Personal Care assistant

If you’re a compassionate, positive person who is looking to support and learn by assisting our senior clients as personal care assistants, then this is a job for you.We expect you to be polite and a good communicator. Experience in housekeeping tasks and caring for the elderly or sick will make you a strong candidate. The fulfilment and satisfaction that comes with helping others surpasses the challenges of this job.

Many of our programs are largely volunteer run. Donate your time to help with our annual and monthly programs or office work, or help spread the word about our organization.

Our Events

Help our events go smoothly – Annual SEWA Gala, Annual Health fair; Monthly Health Clinics, Chai & Chat. We especially need medical professionals.

Office Admin

Help us with day to day office work such as but not limited to grant writing, updating the website, organizing fundraisers.

Become a SEWA ambassador and utilize your contacts to help us raise funds and spread awareness about our programs.

Join our Women’s Group for Chai & Chat 

Chai & Chat events are held at various locations each month – from local parks & libraries to women-owned businesses.  We create supportive and safe spaces for women to come together to discuss issues, share their stories, and to enjoy different activities and outings.
