Karuna Women Lead

Driving Lessons

SEWA-AIFW is excited to announce the start of an initiative "Karuna Women Lead" program focused on South Asian Women's Economic Empowerment in Minnesota. As part of this initiative, we are currently offering sponsorships to a select group of women for behind-the-wheel training, led by women instructors. Our priority for this training is survivors of Domestic Violence and Intimate Partner Violence.

Applicants must hold a valid instructor's permit. Space is limited.

Mentorship Program

Pilot 2022-2023

 This is a one year program where mentors and mentees are matched based on their professional and personal interests and skills. The matching process is conducted by the advisory committee, and also involves Face to Face (virtual, or onsite) interview.​

Digital Literacy Program

  • Learn basic computer skills using Windows 10 and Mac

  • Learn essential software skills

  • Learn tech for use in daily life

  • Earn a Northstar Digital Literacy Certificate

Financial Literacy Workshop

  • Create financial goals

  • Get banked

  • Manage credit

  • Overcoming financial challenges

  • Manage finances

  • Adjust daily spending

  • Develop a savings plan
