Pamela Oberoi, MA, LMFT
Pamela is the director of Wellness Services at SEWA. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist and has specialized in working with refugee and immigrant populations. She has joined the team in order to provide counseling services and has 12 years of experience in providing these services to a diverse community. She is committed to serving the Asian community and is looking forward to answering any questions you may have about counseling and wellness at SEWA.
Neerja Singh, PhD, LICSW. LADC
Neerja Singh, PhD, LICSW. LADC, volunteers with SEWA for providing consultations to clients on mental health and addiction awareness.Neerja is Clinical Behavioral Health Director at Department of Human Services, State of Minnesota. She is dually licensed in mental health and substance use disorder treatment. Neerja is leading the State of Minnesota’s reform efforts to integrate physical, mental and chemical health and address inequities in access to quality care. She is proficient in Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu languages. Neerja is also an adjunct faculty at University of St. Thomas, Minnesota. Neerja has a passion for creating culturally responsive behavioral health care system and is excited to be a part of the dynamic volunteer team at SEWA.
Nikhil Kaistha
Nikhil (he/him/his) is a psychotherapist in private practice. Nikhil's approach is strongly grounded in Integrative psychology which embraces an attitude towards the practice of counseling that affirms the inherent value of each individual. In his work he utilizes the person's strengths, values and knowledge to respond appropriately and effectively to the challenges they are facing. His approach identifies with the idea that the person is not the problem, and takes into account a holistic perspective on life. Nikhil leans towards using a trauma informed lens, culturally relevant, holistic, and liberatory (critical, queer, feminist) ways of conceptualizing to co-create a healing space. Nikhil is experienced in helping individuals, couples, adolescents, and families deal with life’s challenges. Nikhil is multilingual and is fluent in English, Hindi and Urdu.
